West Park has several all-weather tennis courts, a large, children's play area and a boating lake.
Opened in 1881 on the site of Wolverhampton Racecourse, it is a fine example of a Victorian Park with a recently refurbished conservatory and a bandstand, which is due to, be restored.

A wild fowl collection is of special interest to visitors, who can identify the various species using the interpretation boards housed in the lakeside shelter.
West Park bowling green is situated nearby in Park Crescent.
