This is one of the City's most attractive parks, particularly in Spring and Summer. The park has a number of mature trees, which provide shade for the crocus and bluebells which proliferate in springtime. The vast swathes of yellow, white and blue provide a welcome splash of colour in March and April and in June, the roses take over, providing an equally attractive display.

This park provides facilities for football, cricket and basketball and has a children's play area. The new Ranger Service, covering Wolverhampton's parks, is also based at Northwood Park.
